The importance of customer relations
With my experience as head of a customer service center in an international company, I'm well aware of the importance of customer relations in service activities.
Today, after a number of years' experience in architectural and interior photography, I'm firmly convinced that the quality of the photos I take, as well as customer satisfaction, are enhanced when there's a genuine relationship between myself and my client.
Architectural photography is not just about capturing buildings at their best. It's a subtle art that requires a deep understanding of architectural intent, materials, light, and above all, your needs and expectations. A solid, collaborative relationship is therefore essential to the success of any photographic project.
Long before pointing the lens, clear and open communication is essential. Understanding your vision, your objectives for the images (promotion, documentation, competitions), the specific aspects you wish to highlight, and even any time constraints, enables me to align myself with your expectations. This phase of active listening is essential to avoid misunderstandings and guide the shoot in the right direction.
The customer relationship continues with constructive discussions on the choice of angles, the ideal moment for the shot in relation to natural light, and any elements to include or exclude from the frame.
The shoot itself can also be a stage where communication remains important, especially when you are on site to accompany me. Exchanging ideas and taking into account any comments you may have allows us to adjust the shot in real time.
After shooting, during the post-production process, adjustments may be necessary in terms of colorimetry, contrast, or removal of unwanted elements. Transparent communication at this stage guarantees maximum satisfaction.
Ultimately, the success of a series of architectural photographs depends on more than technical mastery. I always strive to establish and maintain a relationship of trust with my client. I'm convinced that a client who feels listened to, understood and involved will not only be satisfied with the final result, but will also be more inclined to recommend my services and collaborate on future projects.
Investing time and energy in customer relations means understanding you better, meeting your expectations as closely as possible and ensuring your satisfaction.
